About Dr. Dickerson
Dr. Sharon Dickerson’s endless zeal for education, personal and professional development is reflected in her portfolio. Much of her post-doctorate training has been focused on adult restorative dentistry. She has studied extensively at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. She is a Level IV graduate of Orognathic Bioesthetic International, a comprehensive full mouth diagnosis and restoration curriculum. She also serves as a mentor for the prestigious Schuster Center for Professional Development.
She takes a personal interest in each and every individual that comes into her office. She has a warm, caring and gentle style that helps to ease the anxiety that can often be associated with dental care. By taking the time to understand her client’s health goals and priorities, she is able to customize dental treatment to meet their specific concerns.
Dr. Sharon Dickerson was born and raised in Battle Creek and returned to practice dentistry in her hometown after graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1988. Her father, Dr. Jerry Borsum, a Battle Creek dentist beginning in 1959, welcomed her to join his practice. They enjoyed many years practicing together, sharing a commitment to excellence in their dentistry and service to their clients and to the community. Dr. Dickerson had been managing the practice as a solo dentist since 2004 when she joined BioDentist.
She has two daughters, one who is an Administrative Coordinator for Thrive Community Health, and another one who is attending Dr. Dickerson’s undergraduate alma mater of Aquinas College. She cherishes time with her family and friends, enjoys personal fitness activities and other health pursuits, reading, and traveling.
