What if I Have Dental Insurance?
Often prospective patients ask us at BioDentist, “Do you accept my insurance?”
The answer is, yes, but not directly.
Before we explain that further, let’s talk about what dental insurance is all about.
What is Dental Insurance?
Dental insurance is for people who want others to determine their health. We work with people who want to determine their own level of health.
You see, insurance is only in this business to make a profit. They do this by contracting with large groups of people, position themselves as the middleman, and influence the services and level of quality that dentists provide. They drive prices down and this always lowers quality.
Is that really what you want?
It’s ironic that insurance calls their payments “benefits” when they attempt to minimize what you get and still make you co-pay.
Because insurance has nothing to do with health, this does not align with our philosophy nor the philosophy of our patients.
How Will This Work?
If you have insurance, that’s great. Consider it like a coupon that will reduce the cost of our services, making biological dentistry more affordable.
We’ll take care of your insurance paperwork and they’ll send you a check for what they would pay an average dental office that sees as many patients in a day as we see in a month.
So here at BioDentist, we will help you get the most out of your insurance and still maximize your dental health.
And our patients tell us that it’s worth it.
