When dissimilar metals are placed in a wet, acidic environment just like your mouth, a battery is created. And to make things worse, the more acidic your mouth becomes, the more powerful the battery becomes!!  The use of silver/mercury fillings, gold crowns and bridges, orthodontic “braces”, or any combination of these, in the presence of saliva will create “the battery effect.”  These currents are not a normal part of a healthy body, and cause the body harm.

One of the worst things you can do to your mouth is subject it to a root canal. Traditional dentists will tell you that a root canal is an important surgery done to help save a tooth and eliminate bacteria and infection. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, root canal ‘therapy’ does not cure the problem, it creates a deeper wound.

Why does the American Dental Association deny this? Mostly because the potential liability involved would be insurmountable. Moreover, root canals are extremely profitable–it’s just not good business to deny them to patients.

At this point in time there is no excuse to subject a patient to the health risks of mercury exposure. Scientists and doctors all over the world agree that dental amalgam fillings leach mercury into the mouth, yet traditional dentists still use them, mostly based on low-cost and convenience. Mercury leakage is the potential cause of chronic illnesses, autoimmune disorders, neurodegenerative diseases and potential birth defects. Amalgam can release small amounts of mercury vapor that patients absorb by inhaling or ingesting them. Although dental amalgam is currently approved for use in most countries, it is now prohibited in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.  If some countries are banning it, you would think all countries would. Unfortunately that is not the case.
